This well was built in the 10-th century in India and it is a clear indicator of environment with heavy drinking water in those days. The harsh climatic conditions of the region, people were forced to dig deeper and deeper in search of water. Chand Baori has depth of 30 meters, which equals 13-store building. Legend says that ghosts dug a well for one night at the direction of the mysterious sorcerer. I don't know if this legend is true but in any case titanic work has been done.
